It is January 2003 and here in the United States of America we are now ending eight years of governmental control by a secular, liberal democratic party led by a narcissistic whoremonger who early caved in to a vocally active, radical homosexual* minority.

(*For more on this, read Apostle Paul in Romans 1:19-27. God loves homosexuals, but hates the sin of homosexuality.)

Now begins four (hopefully eight!) years with a God-fearing, Christ-centered President at the helm of the government of this great nation.

Pray that God through his Grace will guide our new President, George W. Bush, as he begins his tenure in the White House. Pray that President Bush will get agreement from those on Capitol Hill so that powerful things can be accomplished under his leadership, so that integrity and respect will be brought back to the highest office in the land, so that Americans all across the land will come together in agreement that we are still "One Nation Undivided Under God". Amen.

Today the battle rages between those who embrace the God of Abraham and Matthew, and those who embrace the religion of secular humanism. Oh! woe onto all Americans, if we lose the war to those of the secular left who want to expel Faith from the United States of America.

True Christianity acknowledges the Lordship of God over all aspects of life, it is not just a "Sunday morning ritual". All Christians must share our understanding that the Truth of Final Reality lies with the living God who WILL judge us. If we are not God-fearing people, we will not have the integrity nor the will to stand against the injust laws and societal liberalities which violate God's Law.

We must take a stance against humanist-inspired activities such as the sanctioned murder of children via abortion, and of sickly or elderly people via euthanasia. We must resist the eradication of the unique dignity of all of God's children by Godless beliefs such as those espoused by the late Carl Sagan in his TV show and book "Cosmos". As a secular humanist, Mr. Sagan regarded the universe as self-existing and not God-Created. However, he could never offer proof of his arrogant presumption that "the cosmos is all that is or ever was or ever will be." One can only hope that Mr. Sagan fought his way free of his Satanic hubris before he died!

Do not forget that most of the people who originally came to America from Europe came for religious purposes. As they arrived, they established their own individual civil governments based upon the Bible. It was therefore, totally foreign to the basic nature of the United States at the time of the writing of the Constitution to argue a separation doctrine that implies a secular state.

The United States was founded on the principle of religious freedom for all and the First Amendment to the Constitution was passed for two purposes. First, that there would be no established, national church, so that no one sect would obtain pre-eminence. Second, that government should not impede or interfere with the free practice of religion. In 1944, Justice Douglas wrote for the majority in a Supreme Court decision: "The First Amendment has a dual aspect. It not only forestalls compulsion by law of the acceptance of any creed or the practice of any form of worship" but also "safeguards the free exercise of the chosen form of religion."

How differently the separation of church and state is being used today! It is being used to silence Christianity in any form. This is a total reversal of the concept from the original intent! The modern concept is an argument for a total separation of religion from the state. This is not rooted in history nor in law. The consequence of the acceptance of this doctrine leads to the removal of religion as an influence in civil government. It is used today as a false political dictum in order to restrict the influence of Christian ideas.

It would have astounded the Founding Fathers to have suggested the state should be separated from religion and religious influence. In point of fact, the Founding Fathers believed that the public interest was served by the promotion of religion.

As immigration to the United States from non-Judeo-Christian countries substantially increased over the past decades, there has been a concomitant increase of viewpoints not based on Christian precepts. This melting pot of religions in the United States, however, is now used as an excuse for a widespread belief in Pluralism. Pluralism, in simple terms, is a condition of society in which numerous distinct ethnic, religious, or cultural groups coexist within one nation. This leads to the belief that no single explanatory system or view of reality can account for all the phenomena of life.

Pluralism is used to further the cause of the religion of Humanism; that is, that everything is acceptable, one choice is as valid as another, there is no right or wrong—simply human preference. And that there is no God. Christians know better! We have experienced the Presence of the Living God and we know that we exist by His Grace alone, through Faith. It is true that humankind is distinguished from other animal life by one thing: free will. However, our free will can take us to Heaven — or to Hell. The choice is ours.

As Francis A. Schaeffer stated in his pivotal book "The Christian Manifesto", "it is up to Christians to show that Christianity is Truth of Total Reality in the open marketplace for freedom."

In fact, we are mandated by Jesus to do just that:

Matthew 4: 19 (KJV)
And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.

We cannot view our religion in "bits and pieces", we must understand that there are only TWO points of view concerning 'Total Reality': Truth—that all that exists or ever did exist or ever will exist was created by the living God and Creator, and Not Truth—that the universe is material-energy, shaped by impersonal chance.

What we choose to believe will determine our views on the value and dignity of people, the basis for individual and societal life, the path manmade law will take, and whether there will be real Freedom or some form of authoritarian, humanist dominance.

As Will and Ariel Durant quoted from the agnostic Renan in their book The Lessons of History: "If Rationalism wishes to govern the world without regard to the religious needs of the soul, the experience of the French Revolution is there to teach us the consequences of such a blunder." The Durants went on to state: "There is no significant example in history, before our time, of a society successfully maintaining moral life without the aid of religion." Much earlier, a similar conclusion was reached by William Penn (1644-1718) who had said: "If we are not governed by God, then we will be ruled by tyrants."

As Christians, we must understand and make clear to secular society that humanism is not the Truth of Final Reality. It is opposite to the great freedoms that every American now enjoys. What is necessary is to break the authoritarian hold that the material-energy, chance concept of Final Reality has on goverment and Law. As Christians it is our responsibility to show that the living Christ is our Lord and Savior, not only for individual salvation but for society as well. We can do this by teaching what we believe, by living a life that glorifies God, and by taking action when necessary, not by remaining part of the Silent Majority.

As Jesus told his disciples after His resurrection: "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things whatever I have commanded you; and behold, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." [Matthew 28:18-20] As a Christian, I know, as Paul knew that "I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me" [Galatians 2:20].

Remember, the more you share your faith, the more your faith will grow. These may or may not be the End Days, only God knows for sure, but there is no guarantee that any of us will see tomorrow's sun rise. As Christians, we cannot stand idly by. We must let our faith speak to those who are still outside the fold. Proclaim to all the Good News: God is Alive and He loves us.

But don't hesitate, because if you listen closely, you can hear the echo of a trumpet.
The Time is Now.
